That one's a personal favorite of mine, if that matters. Highly recommended!

Well, I replied to @HVR and you about hermeneutics.

Now that I have read your text, what comes to mind is the relevance of your word "sequence."

You see, it is the task of the reader, the interpreter, i.e. me, to discover and understand the sequence order, i.e. the pattern. And thus, to bring more sense into what you have attempted to communicate, write and publish.

I guess you are a Piscis, so happy birthday! Or a Piscis ascendant at least, which means you were born early in the morning (around 8 am.)

A commonly attributed trait of this sign is its capacity to go into the unknown and connect dots that apparently bear no connection. That is, excellent associative memory, which is an elemental of very creative people, artists.

You also seem to have a manic affinity to "write about writing" (the intro is longer than the seventh room, which actually splits in 3), and to be playful with the reader, constantly attempting not to lose his/her attention as you meander along the dark profound waters of sense. At the bottom of it all, hence, there is a humanism in your impulse, which is a scarce, valuable quality in these times of lack of attention and AI Slop.

If you captured the lightning in the bottle and sent it through the sea of substack, i imagine you expect nothing less than an electric shock on he who finds and opens the bottle. The collection of masks seems to be your overempathic, INFJ capacity to put yourself in the shoes of anyone. This is a power, not a malediction, it can make of you a damn good writer, but might also drive you into the mouth of madness.

Since Dante decided to abandon all hope and enter the underworld, and since you have given yourself your own name, what I can add is: find your Virgil to tour you around, and drop the thread of Ariadne so you make sure you know how to come out and tell us what you saw through your writing.

Once again, I love your thoughts here...

My zodiac symbol is Libra. I know only that, and nothing more. I am aware of the zodiac signs, but I have not invested time toward understanding them. (The day never seems to have enough hours in it for me. If the gods are listening, then I'd like several lifetimes, at least, please, to explore everything that is of interest to me.)

Manic describes my affinity very well. (And anyone who happened to browse my taste in music would nod with emphatic agreement.)

I was very late to dip my toe into the realm of AI, despite my formal education in computer science. At heart, I think, I may be a Luddite. I still object to the acronym itself, although I can’t defend my own objection. "Artificial Intelligence" seems to me like a contradiction in terms. Perhaps it is not?

I do not now the letters of my personality type either... although I have been told (by several doctors, eastern and western) that I am in intuit and and empath. Whatever that means, it does drive me into the mouth of madness. Often I tug at the hem of insanity's dark cloak. It feels warm and soft between my fingers.

I am very glad to have made your acquaintence. I have no Virgil, nor any thread of Ariadne, but your advice to find him (and it) is very sound. I will try.

The "AI" is on itself a codeword. If we leave for a moment the domain of "sense" and return to the domain of "meaning", the word (the morphism, the anagram, you name it...) offers signification, denotation and connotation. IMO, when you have a case of a word which confuses (or even opposes) signification with denotation, we are in the presence of a fascist operation of language, which tries to introduce a "code" which is... vague, ambiguous, confusing.

As for connotation, that is the trained gaslighting-lovebombing-self-punishing cycle.

Other theories already sustain that Slop is on purpose plaguing language with code in order to reach its only interesting target: people who only understand code, but not language. People who don't look for sense on every piece they read. Yet, flooding the zone with slop is producing unemployment and boredom and thus the problem becomes a challenge.

AI is a middleware. A very high-end one to my taste. And it had promised nanotechnology or a "vanishing act" which it is uncapable to deliver on.

"Slop is on purpose plaguing language with code in order to reach its only interesting target." I don't mean to sound hyperbolic, but I sometimes wonder if the future of our civilization might turn on this hinge.

Have you written an essay or a story on the theories that you make reference to here? If yes, I would be very (very) interested to read it.

The gears in my head turn slowly on this sort of thing, and your words here in this note seem to me like a diamond: a precious and significant truth compressed and compacted into a very small space... I want to explore these words in something larger, so I can see the shape and the lines more clearly, and explore them carefully.

I am beginning an extended essay on "the sense of fascism" which will take me a couple of months at least to complete a draft. this text refreshes the various definitions & characteristics of fascism, but proceeds into an analysis of it as an operation of language through the symbol. this is not a new idea, the swastika is a good example of a "confused" (or betrayed) symbol. Theoretically speaking, every "logotype" is fascist. Like brands.

Yes, we might be heading to Idiocracy. In Auschwitz, only prisoners who knew how to count up to 300 were considered "useful." Although i am not into sociology, empirical measures and statistics, i can notice that many people operate their daily lives with no more than 300 words. This heightens a quality-control problem with sense.

Chat applications further stimulate this reduction (coding?) of language, as an antinomy to what you may stylistically call "verbal elegance."

I would like (very much) to read this when it is ready.

Your writing style is truly unique and captivating! I love how you embrace the chaos of your thoughts and present them in such an engaging way. It’s fascinating to see how you weave stories together, even when they start in the middle or end at the beginning.

Amazing piece !

You had me at The Thief of Always by Clive Barker. ;) One of my all-time favorite books.

His book, Weaveworld, was actually one of my first fantasy novel loves. Opened my eyes big time into possibilities.

I have no idea what’s going on but I’m excited to be along for the ride. The best part is my brain can’t begin to assume what will come next from here so the possibilities are infinite. The chaos is endearing and intriguing. I look forward to seeing where it goes!
